At Grigol Robakidze University, a student will be selected as a student ombudsman for one year, through a competition, from a doctoral, master's or bachelor's law programme. He/she will be assisted by the Deputy Ombudsman and other members of the Ombudsman's Office. According to the statute, only students will be elected as ombudsmen, which will further increase students' trust in this institution, the more it operates in compliance with the principles of full independence, fairness, confidentiality and impartiality.
Any student can apply to the ombudsman if he / she feels that his / her legal rights are being violated willfully or unintentionally. To do this, you can use the electronic format and fill out this application or meet the ombudsman or the office members in person and explain the essence of your problem. The ombudsman is obliged to respond to the written application in writing after a detailed study and analysis of the case, which will take some time - no more than 30 days.
