Lela Goginava’s Academic Poster Displayed at Paris Exhibition

The academic poster by Lela Goginava, Assistant Professor at Grigol Robakidze University and Head of the Center for Migration and Diaspora Studies, is being showcased at the exhibition “The Invisibility of Slave and Migrant Women: An Exploitation Throughout History” at Librairie Utopia, Paris, France, which will run until May 2026.

Goginava’s poster highlights her research on the lives of young Georgian captive women who became influential figures in the Ottoman Empire, including Valide Sultans, mothers of sultans and other prominent women who played key roles in shaping the ruling dynasty.

The exhibition is organized with support from the EU COST Association – European Cooperation in Science and Technology and the Université de Picardie Jules Verne, Amiens.
