Mediation Center Presents at International Mediation Clinic Conference
Representatives of the Early and Effective Dispute Resolution (EEDR) Mediation Center at Grigol Robakidze University took part in the International Mediation Clinic Network online conference, hosted by the University of Strathclyde (UK). The event featured delegates from Australia, the United Kingdom, India, South Africa and other countries, highlighting its diverse international character.
The University was represented by Nina Gersamia, Lawyer, Mediator and Head of the EEDR Mediation Center and George Amirkhaniani, Law Student and Project Manager at the Center. They presented on “The Journey of Students in a Mediation Clinic: Integrating Learning, Practice, and Professional Growth.”
During the presentation, Nina Gersamia discussed the founding of the Mediation Clinic, its mission and its teaching model, emphasizing student engagement, mentorship, professional guidance and the clinic’s achievements, including graduates who became certified mediators and the promotion of dialogue among youth.
George Amirkhaniani shared his personal experience, highlighting how hands-on practice at the Mediation Clinic enhanced his professional and personal skills, including empathetic listening and conflict resolution. His presentation drew significant interest from conference participants.
The organizers expressed gratitude to the GRUN team for their active participation and professionalism, noting that delegates were impressed by the quality of the presentations. The Mediation Center’s presentation will be published on the official website of the International Mediation Clinic Network.
